SU nursing students’ papers win int’l recognition
Two groups of Silliman University (SU) senior nursing students won awards for their research papers presented during the 9th International Conference of Nurses, which was co-hosted by the SU College of Nursing, Nov. 29 at Cebu Normal University.
The first paper entitled “Nurse-Patient Ratio and Work Satisfaction among Nurses in Dumaguete City” won second place in the student category for Infomercial Presentation and third place in the student category for Techno-Intelligent Healthcare Innovations (Nursing Informatics, Record Management, Advances in Nursing Practice and Nursing Administration).
The paper was written by level IV nursing students namely: Darlyn Amplayo, Brylle Baste, Feliz Mae Flores, Gary Brent Gabas, Jirah Grajo, Charms Lumjod, Jason Mark Mayor, Crizia Camille Paras, Jezreel Joyce Rufiño, Alyanna Marie Tambunting, Deborah Keziah Tiloy and Genley Villarosa.
The second paper entitled “Selected Factors Related to Antibiotic Use and Antibiotic Resistance in Dumaguete City” also won second place in the student category for Infographics Poster Presentation.
This was written by another group of level IV nursing students that include Shaun Jeco Balisado, Renzo John Phillip Cabagay, Nicole Allyson Fry, Micah Marie Gazo, Heather Hillary Infante, Calyn Macarubbo, Esther Faith Padilla, Jasmine Redona, Kathryn Isabel Sotto, Katherine Tambunting, and Jessilda Damian Verano.
