SU Philosophy chair elected as USAPP secretary-general

Dr. Ferdinand M. Mangibin, Silliman University Philosophy Department chair, has been elected as the Secretary-General of the Union of Societies and Associations of Philosophy in the Philippines (USAPP).

During the USAPP general assembly at the 2nd USAPP Summit hosted by the Philosophy Association of the Philippines (PAP) in collaboration with De La Salle University-Manila last  July 21-24, 2021, Mangibin was elected for a two-year term as secretary-general beginning 2021 until 2023.

Mangibin will automatically become the USAPP Summit chair in 2025.

Mangibin is also currently the president of the Philosophy Association of the Visayas and Mindanao (PHAVISMINDA).
