SU Strategic Partnerships director attends EU consultation meeting
Dr. Jenny Lind Elmaco, Silliman University (SU) Strategic Partnerships director attended a consultation meeting with selected civil society actors, June 11 at the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Philippines headquarters in Makati to plan a strategic assessment of the EU cooperation with the Philippines post-2020.
The assessment is a forward-looking vision for EU engagement with the Philippines in the political, social and economic spheres. In that framework, a dialogue with different stakeholders is on-going in order to have a comprehensive overview of the Philippines perspective.
One of the key queries asked by the Delegation to Dr. Elmaco as an international development expert was on economic, social and political trends in the country and in the region that deserve priority attention in the coming 5 to 10 years.
Key EU officials such as Jérôme Rivière, EU Delegation to the Philippines first secretary; Stéphanie Carette, attaché–programme manager; and Enrico Strampelli, Development Cooperation head were present during the meeting.
