SU TEVEC receives TESDA accreditation

Blanchie M. Utzurrum, SU TEVEC head, receives the accreditation from TESDA

The Silliman University Technical Educational Vocational Entrepreneurial Center (SU TEVEC), formerly the School of Agro-Industrial and Technical Education, is now accredited by Technical Education and Skills Authority (TESDA) as an Assessment Center for Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II, Animal Production (Swine) NCII, and Animal Production (Ruminants) NC II.

The accreditation makes SU TEVEC the only assessment center for animal production in Negros Oriental.

Blanchie M. Utzurrum, SU TEVEC head, received the accreditation last October 4, 2022.

“SU TEVEC as a new assessment center accreditation will significantly improve the accessibility of all local and provincial stakeholders because it is the only existing assessment center in the province of Negros Oriental,” Utzurrum said.

“We thank TESDA for continuously supporting and recognizing Silliman University as a Technical Vocational Institution. The University, through the Office of Community Engagement and Service-Learning (OCESL) and Technical Educational Vocational Entrepreneurial Center, will continue to reach out to communities and deliver technical-vocational programs for skills development for work and life,” said Novee Maestrecampo Jr., OIC-director of OCESL.
