Outstanding Sillimanian Awardee, Dr. Dely P. Go, has recently been chosen as president-elect of the Hiraya Foundation for Filipino-American Heritage Preservation, Inc. The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) announced last February 2, 2022, the induction of its Board of Directors, with Dr. Dely P. Go as president-elect.
The installation was led by the Honorable Elmer G. Cato, Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines, New York.
The foundation and its new officers will ensure that the rich culture of the Filipino people is given a chance to shine on the global stage. They will carry the torch of inspiration, as they drive cultural preservation and promotion to foster a stronger sense of nationalism to the Filipino- American communities. This is one of the initiatives of the Philippine Consulate General in New York (PCGNY).
Dr. Go was cited for being CEO of AVTECH Institute and Allied Health, President/Owner of the Nursing Network Institute, and a valued faculty member at William Paterson University and Farleigh Dickinson University. Her numerous awards and distinctions – including The Outstanding Filipino in America, and Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, amongst others, are a testament to Dr. Go’s stellar career in nursing education, administration, and service. As President-elect, she brings with her a strong desire to preserve Filipino-American culture and champion Filipino excellence.
Hiraya Foundation for Filipino-American Heritage Preservation, Inc. will spearhead the Gawad Alab ng Lahi, an award in celebration of the exceptional contributions of the Filipinos in the United States of
America. The award will be conferred to esteemed individuals, private enterprises, and communities whose immense contributions and unwavering commitment have helped uplift the lives of Filipinos and promote progress in the Philippines and in society as a whole.
Dr. Dely P. Go graduated BS Nursing in 1978 from Silliman University and was recognized as an Outstanding Sillimanian Award (OSA) in the field of Entrepreneurship in Nursing in 2013.
