Alumni Update March 29 – April 4, 2021
The Silliman University Association of Alumni & Friends in Europe (SUAAFE-GABS), which is composed of alumni based in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland, announces this early their hosting next year of Euroflock, on May 4 – 8, 2022 in Luxembourg. Euroflock is a biennial grand celebration for Europe-based alumni and friends to gather and renew ties and gain new friends. This is also a time for Europe-based alumni to be updated with Silliman University’s plans, thrusts and achievements. This 4-day alumni gathering will include a welcome fellowship, a gala and charity night and sightseeing tours in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg (BeNeLux). So plan ahead and mark your calendars so you may include Euroflock in your next vacation itinerary.
The 1st Euroflock was held in Berlin, Germany in 2014. After its success, two years later in 2016, it was held in Dublin, Ireland with Dr. Noel Jereza as event organizer. The 3rd Euroflock was spearheaded by
Grace Auza Ada Genge of SUAAFE-GABS in Lucerne, Switzerland in 2018. While the 4th Euroflock which was cancelled due to the health travel restrictions brought about by the pandemic was to be held at Newcastle upon Tyne, in northeast England, September 11 – 14, 2020 with SUAA-United Kingdom as host.
Participation of alumni coming from the US, Australia, Philippines and other parts of the world during the 2nd EUROFLOCK has started a trend among alumni who love to travel to include EUROFLOCK in their holiday calendar.
EUROFLOCK is also supported by three other alumni chapters: SUAA-United Kingdom, SUAA Ireland-Northern Ireland, and SUAA-Norway. For Euroflock updates checkout the SUAAFE-GABS Facebook page.
