First United Presbyterian Church of Cambridge honors Rev. Bart and Prof. Priscilla Kelso

Rev. Bart and Outstanding Sillimanian Awardee Prof. Priscilla Lasmarias-Kelso, both active members of the Silliman Association of New England (SANE), were honored last May 5 by the First United Presbyterian Church of Cambridge, Massachusetts, for their 40 years of church leadership and ministry. Rev. Kelso was conferred the title Pastor Emeritus by the Boston Presbytery. The ceremony was held during the morning service and was followed by a lunch reception where friends and colleagues gave heartwarming messages. The honorary position was endorsed by the church leadership and subsequently approved by the Boston Presbytery.

Professor Priscilla Lasmarias-Kelso and her husband, Rev. Bart Kelso, volunteered as visiting professors of the English Department and the Divinity School at Silliman University for one semester in 2011. Rev. Kelso also shared his gift of preaching with Silliman University Church, a giving-back gesture that the Kelsos advocate.
