It is curated by the Office of Strategic Partnerships. The Office also acts as the Secretariat of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia and as the Liaison to the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia.
ChangemakerXchange – CXC Singapore 2019 Disability Champions
Co-created by Ashoka and Robert Bosch Stiftung, ChangemakerXchange is a global collaborative community for young changemakers to connect, share and develop cross-border collaborations.
This special edition CXC in Singapore is co-hosted by Virtualahan and (these)abilities and will be for social innovators (with or without disabilities) supporting persons with disabilities and championing diversity and inclusion in Asia- Pacific. The summit follows the universal design and will provide necessary arrangements for all types of disability.

Writing Fellowships 2020: Call for applications
The Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study (JIAS) invites applications for its Fifth Writing Semester, which will run from 3 February to 31 May 2020.
Fellowships are open to any field of expertise. Previous fellows have included academics, novelists, scientists, poets, playwrights, independent researchers and journalists. Please note that if successful, we urge that you keep your scholarly commitments outside of JIAS to a minimum.
JIAS Writing Fellows enjoy a quiet space for work, reflection and academic community-building amidst the Melville Koppies of Johannesburg.
Each Writing Fellow will receive:
- Accommodation in our private residential suites at JIAS;
- Daily breakfast and lunch;
- Access to the facilities of the nearby University of Johannesburg; AND
- A monthly stipend which will be taxable.
To apply, please submit a two-page proposal, a comprehensive CV, and three letters of reference before 30 June 2019. Please note incomplete applications will not be considered.

Falling Walls Science Fellowship for Journalists
In an effort to keep the public informed on life-changing scientific breakthroughs, the Foundation has created the Falling Walls Fellowship for Journalists.

Programme: The Fellows get the opportunity to attend all Falling Walls events on 8 and 9 November (Falling Walls Lab, Falling Walls Venture, Falling Walls Engage and the Falling Walls Conference)
The fellowship includes: travel expenses (economy class), hotel accommodation for 3 nights, conference fees and meals (breakfast at hotel, catering during the Falling Walls events).
Eligibility: The Falling Walls Science Fellowship for Journalists is aimed at journalists and bloggers with at least three years of experience who hope to advance their knowledge in the area of sciences. Freelance and full-time journalists or bloggers can apply. Professionals in fields such as research, teaching, public relations and advertising are not eligible. The applicants must have a minimum of three years professional journalism/blogging experience in which they have written about the science topics.

GOT ENERGY TALENT (GET) is a fellowship programme co-funded by the EU as part of the H2020-MSCA-COFUND programme. GET is run by the University of Alcalá (UAH) as beneficiary of the action in collaboration with the University Rey Juan Carlos (URJC).
GET is an ambitious programme that aims not only to enable researchers to conduct their own excellent research project in the area of ‘Smart Energy’ focusing on Bioenergy and Smart Cities.
GOT ENERGY TALENT offers up to twenty one (21) fellowships under the second call. Out of the 21 fellowships available, UAH will recruit eight (8) fellows and URJC will recruit thirteen (13) fellows.
The postdoctoral fellows will have a full trans-national mobility experience.
Fellows will be able to decide whether to carry out a 24-month advanced research project or, under certain research lines, a 12-month advanced research combined project with a 12-month period devoted to applied research in one of the partner host institutions.

The Water Observatory of the Botín Foundation awards three prizes to recognize innovation, dissemination of ideas, projects and technologies that have proven to contribute to sustainable water management.
The call is open to young researchers, technologists, social entrepreneurs, activists and journalists who have contributed to the sustainable management of water.
Any person under 40 of any nationality, as an individual or on behalf of a team, is eligible. Age limit does not apply to Category 3 below.
Deadline for submissions is July 31st, 2019.
Prize categories:
Category A. Models of Management and Technology that contribute to sustainable water management in OECD countries. Submissions in this category include projects, ideas or technologies that have proven to be able to improve water management.
Category B. Models of Management and Technology that contribute to sustainable water management, es¬pecially targeted to provide water services to vul¬nerable populations. Submissions in this category in¬clude projects, ideas or technologies that have proven to be able to improve water management with tangible benefits to vulnerable people and communities.
Category C. Educational project or activity. Educational centres, schools, public or private institutions and individuals can apply with projects that contribute to teach and make young children and teenagers aware of different aspects of water resources and/or of the importance of sustainable water management.
The prize for each Category is a cash payment of 1,500€ (including taxes). If the candidacy is collective, the prize will be shared among the team members.
Any person born after January 1st 1979 may apply to Categories A and B. There is no age limit for Category C candidates, as long as the initiative or project is addressed to children and teenagers at schooling age.
The prize is addressed to a person in Categories A and B. The prize winning achievement may have been developed and applied with the support of private orpublic institutions, or through personal initiative.
In Category C the prize may be personal or, if the initiative or project is institutional, supported by a publicor private institution (schooling centre, NGO, …), then the prize will be awarded to the institution.
If the initiative or project is the result of teamwork, it may be submitted collectively if all the members take part of the candidacy and comply with the age limits defined in paragraph 3. In this case, one of the team members should be designated the representative of the team, and the candidacy should be endorsed and signed by all the team members. If a collective candidacy wins a prize, it will be awarded collectively to the team and all the team members will be mentionedin the prize.
The prize each Category is a cash payment of € 1,500 (including taxes). If a candidacy is collective, the prize will be distributed among the team members.
If the initiative or project has been developed within the context or as part of a specific initiative or organization, the candidacy must be endorsed by the person legally responsible of that initiative or organisation.
Candidacies must be submitted online. The candidate should upload the required information in the website of the Botín Foundation, through this link. The candidate should be the author of the project in case of individual initiative, or the representative in case of collective work. In the case of an institutional project, foreseen in Modality C, the candidate should be the project’s director or similar.
The candidate should upload the following information to the website. All documents will be sent in acompressed folder in zip format:
- Written report (in Word or pdf format) of less than 1000 words in English or Spanish, explaining the nature of the proposal, added values and innovation, and the results accomplished.
- Optionally, additional information on the project (in any format) that the candidate considers relevant to support and justify the candidacy. In case the candidacy wishes to use a link to a website, there will be a “web links” section in the form to be filled out.
- A written declaration in which the candidate claims the authorship of the proposal, indicating the names of other members of the team or collaborators, from whom the candidate must obtain their written approval to present his/her project (please accompany the authorisations if this applies).
- Written endorsement of the legal representative of the organisation within which the project has been developed (in case it applies).
- The Botín Foundation will not publish any uploaded information, and will remove it from its archives once the prize has been awarded and the winning ideas and projects have been presented publically.
- On September 20th 2019, the Botín Foundation will announce the names of the three winners.
The Botín Foundation shall bear the travelling costs of the winning candidates to attend the project presentations day in Madrid (Spain).
The day-event will be held in the headquarters of the Botín Foundation in Madrid, Spain, in a date that will be announced in due time at the website.
The jury will be composed of five persons, appointed by the Botín Foundation.
The decision of the jury is final and not appealable.
