SHS faculty presents research at national multidisciplinary confab
Silliman University Senior High School (SU SHS) faculty members presented their research papers at the 4th Societas Ethica Philosophica Incorporated (SEPI) Multidisciplinary National Hybrid Conference held November 4-6, 2022, in Surallah, South Cotabato.
Faculty members Joshua Soldivillo, Deo Mar Suasin, Japril Cataluña, John Edgar Rubio, Aloha Marie Albina, David Ragudo, Rhea Fe Sinajon, Kristin Faith Cataylo, Kim Frances Carmille Ramos, and Nikki Barredo presented five papers at the Conference.
Soldivillo bagged the Best Oral Presentation Award for presenting his paper on basic education science teachers’ level of job satisfaction as a basis for strategic plan development. Soldivillo competed with all face-to-face and online oral presenters at the conference.
Suasin, Cataylo, Ragudo, Sinajon, and Ramos presented their paper on online collaborative learning and benchmarks in online-learning research areas.
Cataluña presented his paper on K-12 investments in higher education institutions in Dumaguete City.
Rubio shared his study about the online “buddy” program of SU that English as a Foreign Language learners and English as a Second Language “buddies” participated in.
Albina presented her paper on the effects of mass media exposure on the food preferences and beauty standards of SHS students.
The conference also included a spiritual engagement activity at the South Cotabato Divine Mercy Shrine, a cultural immersion activity at the T’boli Lang Dulay Weaving Center, and an educational tour at Lake Sebu.
