SU, BPI Foundation opens scholarship applications for medical frontliners’ next of kin

The Silliman University (SU) Student Scholarship and Aid Division is now accepting applications for the Pagpupugay Scholarship of the Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) Foundation for S.Y. 2023-2024, intended to support the education of medical frontliners’ next of kin.

SU is one of the Foundation’s partner schools for the scholarship program, through which the next of kin of medical frontliners who contracted COVID-19 or passed away due to COVID-19 can receive educational assistance.

Each scholar will receive a scholarship grant of up to ₱100,000 every academic year to help pay tuition and other incidental expenses given directly to BPIF’s partner institution. The financial aid shall only pay school expenses for the ordinary school year or term and shall not, under any circumstances, reimburse school fees originating from or connected to the summer term, unless the summer term is required by the course curriculum. For scholars from state universities and colleges, the financial assistance will cover monthly living subsidy and learning assistance allowance.

Interested and qualified students must e-mail their applications to the SU Scholarships and Aid Division at [email protected]. The deadline for applications is on May 18, 2023.
